This morning I took a tour of Occupy Wall Street, the protest against the United States’ economic injustices taking place at Zuccotti park in the Financial District. I edited the original OCCUPIED post after reading some of your very intelligent, heartfelt emails.
And here are my thoughts… (braces for some hate emails):
Growing up my parents taught me to work hard, take responsibility for my life, and expect nothing to be handed to me. I’m not sure how I feel about people blaming Wall Street, or the banks, or the government, or the CEO of some company for the condition of their lives. I think I make my own choices. I encourage people to find their own purpose in life instead of pointing fingers at others.
No matter what, I’ll continue to wake up at the crack of dawn every day to make MY dreams a reality.
Because that’s the only way I know how to be.
Here’s the organizer of OccupyWallStreet. Drinking a $3.00 cup of McDonalds coffee. Just sayin’
