Big news.

Earlier today, Complex Magazine released their official list of the 50 Greatest Streetwear Brands Of All Time. Reason was included, clocking in at number 42, right between Carhartt and In4mation.

Taking a spot as one of the best streetwear brands ever is a huge achievement. Without a doubt all of us at Reason are honored and inspired to be considered one of the best to ever to do what we do, and what’s more, we do this without corporate backers, real financing, or many of the luxuries that most every other company included enjoys. In looking through the list I counted four brands that are no longer in existence, 38 that are currently multi-million dollar enterprises, and only eight that like Reason, are to this day, truly independent, non-corporate, customer supported businesses.

We don’t do this to enrich ourselves, we do this because we’re committed to making the best possible products we can, and that means doing it the hard way, without a board of directors or a team of investors telling us to cut corners and sacrifice quality to boost our bank accounts. Don’t be confused, there have been opportunities for us to take the corporate route and “sell out” if you will, but if we did, I sincerely doubt we’d be one of the best. Ever.
