Last week while you were sleeping in preparation for a night of drinking green beer I headed down to midtown manhattan with an old Leica 35mm camera to shoot one of the city’s oldest traditions- the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Here’s what I learned; the Irish take St. Patrick’s day very seriously, even at 10 in the morning everyone is plastered, Irish people don’t mess with their own kind, and since 90% of the NYPD is made up of Irish-Americans, pretty much anything goes.
These two weren’t plastered. I don’t think.
Their teacher scolded me for taking this one.
White girl wasted.
Love, Loyalty, Friendship. Awe.
They took my business card so I can’t make any wiseass comments.
Best shot of the day.
A SEA OF DRUNKEN IRISH TEENAGERS.
It’ll grow back.
