SOME NEW FRIENDS-

Dropped by the Outpost today, we were bustling with visitors so I decided to take a stroll down the block to check out some of our new neighbors. Our 9th street family keeps on growing.

First stop. Mr. Throwback Vintage. Recently named one of New York Magazine’s “best nostalgia shops”

Our buddy Mike runs the shop. He’s an avid vintage collector and buyer. Mr. Throwback specializes in all the best 80’s and 90’s retro clothes, shoes, and accessories. Stepping foot into the store is like a time machine back into my childhood.

They also do consignment vintage as well as sneaker repair and restoration. It’s great having a men’s vintage store just a few doors down from us that compliments the Outpost so well.

Jerseys for days. Rare Starter, Reebok, Nike, Olymic, you name it they got it.

Mr. Throwback is located at 428 East 9th Street – right down the street from Reason NY.

Next stop is Wineshop. Opened by two partners, one of whom is the head of wine at the Standard Hotels.

Wineshop focuses on hard to find, organic, sustainable, and local wines. The selection is also surprisingly affordable.

The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Great addition to the block.

I picked up this bottle of La Ritournell Rosé, a fermented rosé from France.
